The Bailey family met for Bill’s 75th birthday celebration. Some came from California, some from Oregon, but all met at the Portland Rose Garden for a family portrait session. Theirs is a great example of when matching outfits for a portrait session work beautifully.

It never ceases to amaze me how a newborn can bring a sparkle to your day. They truly are like little angels on earth. Both mom and baby were happy and enjoying the comfort of one another. We hope they will for the rest of their lives. – e.

Winter is a fabulous time for taking pictures. The sun is low, and on overcast days there is perfectly diffused light with incredible depth. While it is often cold, requiring subjects and photographer to bundle up, an outdoor session takes advantage of such flattering, exquisite light for seasonal family portrait photography.

Simply put, Dutch tilt is deliberately slanting your camera to one side before taking a photo. It creates the horizon to be at an angle to the bottom of the frame or person.
